Lumi
Lumi is approximately between 6-9 months old. He has been at the shelter since 9/15/24 and was given the name "Lumi" which means "light; filled with light; snow in different languages. He is a very sweet and calm boy for his young age. He was abandoned at a park and picked up and brought to the San Jose Animal Care shelter in San Jose, CA. He has been spending workdays in an office with lots of people and is well behaved. He loves squeaky toys and is very food motivated so training in the office has gone really well. He has learned to "sit", "give paw", and "down". He is working on giving "kisses" and "stay" (at doors). He walks great on leash and does not pull. We do not know if he is potty trained but he has not had any accidents in the office but we do take him for regular potty breaks. He has met a young child and let him pet him and loved it so much he rolled over for belly scratches. The boy was a bit taken with Lumi and began playing with his ears and Lumi just sat there loving the attention. He seems to do well around other dogs and was enrolled in group play. On leash he is interested in other dogs but does not pull or react.
And he is doing really well with recall by his new name.
*Lumi is listed on the website www.sanjoseanimals.com (Petcompass) and is available but due to the shelter being over crowded he is in a kennel that is not visible to the public. Any inquiries should be directed to staff and give his animal id #1356128.

He is a Male, 10 months old, Lead Trained, good with Children, good with Large Dogs, has Rabies vaccinations, has DHLPP vaccinations.
