Hello! For most of the first year of his life, beautiful, sweet Remy lived in a tiny backyard cage with his mate. Thanks to the efforts of a concerned neighbor (me!) Remy's family eventually decided they were not giving their huskies a good life and turned them over to me. I was able to adopt the smaller one of the two, but I already had another dog and simply could not end up with three.
Remy is currently staying with Family Dog Rescue in SF and his looking for a loving and active family.
Remy is super sweet and walks well on a leash. He will pull when he sees other dogs, but usually because he just wants to say hi. Occasionally, he has seemed a bit "leash aggressive."
He's absolutely stunning with pretty blue eyes. He can be a little aloof at first, but once he warms up, he loves having his tummy rubbed. He has energy to spare and dreams of an active family to take him on hikes and adventures. He's currently housed with two other male huskies and previously shared that small cage with a female. He has never shown food aggression. I think he'd love having another canine companion. He was so sweet with his prior cage mate!
I will pay his adoption fees via Family Dog Rescue and do anything else possible to help ease Remy into his new life as a treasured family pet. I was able to housetrain his one-time mate very easily and assume Remy can be easily housetrained as well. I don't know if he's good with children or small dogs. He has been great with my teenage girls. He is neutered and ready to go!
He is a neutered Male, 5 years old, Crate Trained, Lead Trained, good with Large Dogs, has Rabies vaccinations, has DHLPP vaccinations, microchipped.
